“The family and forebears of Major Patrick Terris resided in Knappagh House on considerable lands located at Knappagh crossroads, 5 miles west of Armagh City and would have been considered the local aristocracy. This is less than a mile from the Conlon home at Drumsallen, Parish of Tullysaran. In 1970 Major Terris donated goalposts to the local GAA club Tullysaran O’Connells. I note that a relation Vincent Terris was a former club member.”
